The Grand Rapids Public Museum curates a rewarding experience with great, approachable art that is intriguing, distinctive and engages the viewer’s capacity for awe, curiosity, and a sense of humor. With our location and unique resources, we are able to offer a not-to-be-missed immersive experience available only at the Grand Rapids Public Museum, only during ArtPrize

This year, the Grand Rapids Public Museum's Van Andel Museum Center will once again open as an outdoor venue only, and will curate a rewarding exhibit experience with approachable art that is intriguing and distinctive. Pieces will be installed on the grounds near the Grand River, and the front and back lawn. Food carts will be stationed accordingly to make it easy for visitors to grab a quick bite or beverage while on the move!

If you wish to host a private reception, wedding, party or convention at the museum during this very public event, please call 616.929.1700. The museum will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily (general admission applies), but will be closed periodically for special events.

54 Jefferson Street

The Museum is once again partnering with SiTE:LAB for an ArtPrize installation at the museum’s facility at 54 Jefferson. SiTE:LAB curated the space at 54 Jefferson during ArtPrize 2012 and won four of six juried awards, including the venue prize.
