Love dinosaurs? Come learn about amazing creatures that once roamed the earth while studying fossils throughout the Museum. Campers will create their own "fossils" and learn about the exciting work of paleontologists.

Ooey, gooey, yucky slime! Campers will conduct icky science experiments, create creepy art, and follow gross-looking (but tasty) recipes in our Slimy Science laboratory. It's a fun new way to learn about science!

Come explore the mysteries of the planets and stars through games, songs, hands-on activities, and a very special visit to the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium. Designed to inspire, excite, and educate campers about the universe around us, this camp will provide a summer experience to remember.

"Houston, we have lift-off!" Have you ever wondered what makes planes, kites and rockets fly? Campers will learn about aerodynamics while designing, building and launching their own flying contraptions.

Throughout history, all around the world, people have made up pictures and stories about the sky. Come hear fascinating tales of the Sun, Moon, planets and stars. Find ancient star pictures in the planetarium sky and make up your own new stories.

If You Build It...Ages 8 - 11 |
Do you like to construct things? Do you look at a complicated bridge or tall tower and think "how did they do that?" The Public Museum's engineering camp will give you a chance to find out. Spend time with real engineers as they share their exciting profession. Work on engineering-based design projects and building challenges.

Calling all wizards... Don't miss the Public Museum's acclaimed Young Wizard's Academy! Harness the power of imagination to make potions, grow herbs, study the stars, visit the past, meet fantastical creatures and more! Bring along your favorite Harry Potter book for fun reading time in the castle. On the final day, campers will take the theater stage and present an original skit for their families.

Life of a Knight ILife of a Knight III Ages 5 - 7 II Ages 8 - 11

Experience how medieval knights lived and trained. Participate in authentic games of the era inside the Museum's miniature castle. Learn how to make chainmail and construct a model shield with original heraldry. Participate in a mock sword tournament and be knighted by Queen Gwindlyn!

Explore the dress and customs of princesses through the ages. Learn how girls lived through crafts, food and games. A unique era will be explored each day, from ancient Egypt, to Medieval, to Victorian and beyond. Dress-up is encouraged!

Arrgh! Come explore life as a buccaneer. Learn about survival skills, navigation, knot-tying and more. Work with your shipmates to uncover lost treasure. "X" marks the spot for fun!

Grandma's KitchenAges 5 - 7 |
Grab an apron and roll up your sleeves; Grandma's Kitchen is open for business. Children will create a variety of hands-on recipes, from nutritious snacks to a complete meal. Kitchen spaces at the historic Voigt House is limited, so sign-up early! Campers must be dropped off and picked up at the Voigt House location.

Crafts around the WorldAges 8 - 11 |
What do origami, paper-mache and papel picado have in common? They're all paper crafts and they're all fun! Make and take home a variety of exciting craft projects that you can teach your friends and family.

Explore the unique traditions of Native American culture. Learn games and songs. Make handicrafts and experience a very special storytelling session under the starry sky of the Planetarium.

Victorian DaysAges 5 - 11 |
Experience history in a whole new way at Voigt House Museum (circa 1895). From games and crafts, to etiquette and historic-style dress, campers will learn about the past by living it. Work together to prepare a tea or picnic the old fashioned way. Campers must be dropped off and picked up at the Voigt House location.

Read and Connect Summer AcademyI IIRead & Connect Summer Academy utilizes Museum exhibits and artifacts to help campers expand language skills and make real world connections. Campers investigate artifacts and participate in hands-on reading, writing and vocabulary enrichment activities centered on a daily theme. |
