When you make a donation to your Public Museum, your gift makes a difference!

No matter the size of your gift, you are helping to keep this community jewel on the Grand a vital asset to the region.

For more than 92 years, the Public Museum was owned and operated by the City of Grand Rapids. But in 2006, the Museum became its own independent 501 (c) (3), which meant a loss of $2.5 million –half our annual budget! So now the future of your Museum depends on you and others like you.

….black holes in space and what happened to the passenger pigeon
….ancient mummies and critters that live in our marsh water
….how native peoples lived and the factors that have fueled growth in the region over the years…
