In celebration of Peter Cook's legacy to Grand Rapids, the Museum is providing free carousel rides to all on his birthday.
Peter and his wife Pat led a community campaign to acquire the Museum's antique carousel in 1981 and to build the glass and stone pavilion that houses the carousel and bears their name.
The fully-restored 1928 carousel with its 50 hand-carved horses and menagerie animals continues to delight Museum visitors and will forever be remembered as an amazing gift!
