BENEFITING THE GRAND RAPIDS PUBLIC MUSEUM'S ROGER B. CHAFFEE PLANETARIUM
Twilight and Midnight bike rides through the city of Grand Rapids - starting and ending at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
There's still time to register! REGISTER IN PERSON AT THE EVENT STARTING AT 6 P.M. FRIDAY
The June 21 event will feature a non-competitive family cycling event (7 miles) at twilight (8 p.m.) followed by a non-competitive cycling ride (approximately 14 miles) at midnight (12 a.m.). Rides start and finish at the Grand Rapids Public Museum with various activities and an after party.
Rules of the road apply. We recommend helmets for both rides, and lights for the midnight ride.

- The Twilight Ride is for families with children 12 and under. An educational, fitness ride in and around downtown Grand Rapids, stopping at various historical landmarks (Ford burial site, fish ladder, Riverside Park, Sixth Street Bridge) for fun facts & a scavenger hunt!
- The Midnight Ride, although still non-competitive, will cater to individuals and families with children over age 12, leading them through the streets, trails, and downtown bridges, before ending back at the Museum.
- Both events will involve pre/post activities beginning at 6 p.m. Activities include Planetarium shows, music, picnic-style food and beverages (for purchase), Solstice Sky Gazing, photo booth, games, contests and much more! The Museum exhibits will also be open for business so attendees can enjoy the venue to it fullest.
- The Museum will remain open until 2:30 a.m. with limited activities designed to welcome back Midnight Ride participants when the event concludes.

Solstice Sky Gazing
See the Grand Rapids night sky on the evening of the Summer Solstice through telescopes with the Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association.
The Rides will benefit the Grand Rapids Public Museum, a 501(c)3, which depends on public and private support to continue to…”enrich the life of our community through experiences of the wider world in a uniquely Grand Rapids context.” Proceeds from registration fees will benefit the Grand Rapids Public Museum's Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium.
